This page contains the terms & conditions. Please read these terms & conditions carefully before ordering any products from us. You should understand that by ordering any of our products, you agree to be bound by these terms & conditions.
Terms of sale
By placing an order you are offering to purchase a product on and subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.
Dispatch times may vary according to availability and any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times are subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure for which we will not be responsible.
When placing an order you undertake that all details you provide to us are true and accurate, that you are an authorised user of the credit or debit card used to place your order and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods. The cost of foreign products and services may fluctuate. All prices advertised are subject to such changes.
The price applicable is that set at the date on which you place your order. Shipping costs and payment fees are recognized before confirming the purchase. If you are under 18 years old you must have parents' permission to buy.
Order confirmation
When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your order. This email will only be an acknowledgement and will not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract between us for the purchase of the goods will not be formed until your payment has been approved by us and we have debited your credit or debit card.
You will receive a confirmation email after your purchase. If you have not received a confirmation email within 3 working days from your purchase, kindly contact us and check that the order information is correct.
Upon receiving your order we carry out a standard pre-authorisation check on your payment card to ensure there are sufficient funds to fulfil the transaction. Goods will not be dispatched until this pre-authorisation check has been completed. Your card will be debited once the order has been accepted. Once your payment has been approved you will receive an email confirmation.
Payment methods
Credit card: We accept Visa and MasterCard. Obligatory information when paying by credit card is cardholder’s name, credit card number, security code and the end date of validity. Security code is the 3-digit code on the back of the card.
Visa Electron and Debit cards: We accept Visa Electron and Debit cards. Obligatory information when paying by card is cardholder’s name, credit card number, security code and the end date of validity. Security code is the 3-digit code on the back of the card.
PayPal: We accept PayPal payments.

Payment security/privacy
Card information is not stored and all card information is handled over SSL encryption. Please read the terms & conditions for the payment gateway chosen for the transaction, as they are responsible for the transactions made.
To help ensure that your shopping experience is safe, simple and secure, the online store is uses Secure Scoot Layer (SSL) Technology. This encrypts and protects the data you send us over the Internet. If SSL is enabled then you will see a padlock at the top of your browser URL bar and you can click on this to find out more information about the SSL digital certificate registration.
We process all payments using PayPal which uses the industry’s most secure data encryption technologies and physically secure servers that are not connected directly to the internet to ensure your peace of mind.
You may order online using a credit / debit card. We use a secure PayPal payment gateway and we accept Visa, MasterCard, Visa Debit, Visa Electron and PayPal payments. All prices are in GBP and credit / debit card transactions for orders outside the UK will be converted by the card company at their current exchange rates.
We will not sell your name, address, e-mail address, credit card information or personal information to any third party without your permission.
Delivery
When your order is ready for dispatch, it will be delivered by our courier service. A signature will be required upon delivery to ensure safe arrival. If you have special delivery instructions, please let us know by email.
Delivery may take from 5 to 14 days, depending on the item and delivery address. Made to order items will take longer and will be advised upon ordering.
Please provide a daytime telephone number in case we (or our delivery agents) should need to contact you.
Returns & exchanges
We offer full refund not including delivery costs when a return/exchange request is made within 14 days from the day of receiving the order. Unfortunately we are unable to refund international duties & taxes for customers outside the EU and UK.
For a full refund the items should be returned new, unused and in the same condition as you received them. Please note that the product must be returned with all the original packaging (including all tags) to ensure they are adequately protected in transit.
Returns that are damaged, soiled or altered may not be accepted and may be sent back to the customer. Boxes should also be protected as they are considered part of the product and your return may not be accepted if the box is damaged. Returns will be processed within 1-3 working days, from the day we receive the returned item. Refund method varies between payment methods but will be paid within 14 days from receiving the return.
If an alternative item or size is required, please contact us at office@akichoklat.com. A new package will be sent to you without any additional costs, once your original order has been received in resalable condition.
How to return the item:
Within 14 days from the day of receiving the order, contact office@akichoklat.com for a return authorization form and further instructions.
Please note that returning the package without a completed return authorization form does not count as a return and won’t be refunded.
Duties & taxes
Ordering outside of European Union, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to; payment of these is necessary to release your order from customs on arrival.
Force majeure
Examples of such events are government action or omission, new or amended legislation, conflict, embargo, fire or flood, sabotage, accident, war, natural disasters, strikes or lack of delivery from suppliers. The force majeure also includes government decisions that affect the market negatively and products, for example, restrictions, warnings, ban, etc.
Additional information
You must not misuse the website. You must not commit or encourage a criminal offence, transmit or distribute virus or any other material, which is malicious, technologically harmful, in breach of confidence or in any way offensive or obscene. You must not hack into service, corrupt data, cause annoyance to other users, send spam or try to affect the performance or functionality of any computer facilities of or accessed through this website.
